Each of these nine flowers is drawn live from three ingredients: hair-thin luminous filaments that follow where a real petal's veins would run, thousands of micro points of light scattered along them like illuminated pollen, and a nearly invisible glass membrane that only catches light at its edges.
Warm champagne-gold light lives at every flower's centre and cools toward lavender and ultraviolet at the petal edges. The void behind them is a slow nebula, tinted by whichever specimen you're visiting.
Every strand is computed fresh when a flower blooms — nothing here is a photograph, a video, or a downloaded model. Built with Three.js by Arianna Pibernus.
